Every year, Let’s go Tours invites numerous travel agents to Schaffhausen for two evenings to experience the concerts of the “Stars in Town” festival up close. Together with partners Jumeirah and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of Oman, yesterday’s evening began with an aperitif on the Let’s go’s own roof terrace in the old town of Schaffhausen.
With delicious finger food, grilled dishes and ice-cold drinks you can fortify yourself for the next concert. Barbara Zürcher also reveals that the Let’s go team has experience with barbecues, as in the summer the grill is fired up on the roof terrace every Friday for lunch. Employees are welcome to join in.
The two sponsors invited Tanja Rossi from Let’s go Tour from the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of Oman to a short presentation yesterday. It is good that there are more flights to Oman starting in winter, especially with the four-times-a-week connection with Oman Air to Muscat. But from February to April there are also flights to Salalah with Edelweiss. The ideal travel time for Oman, even though it is a year-round destination, is from October to April. Anyone who travels to Oman will experience an authentic Arabia, from culture to beach holidays to active holidays, Oman offers a wide variety. Adventurers will also get their money’s worth: self-drive tours are offered in Oman, where you can discover the desert or the 3,000-kilometer coastline with its many sea creatures.
Claudia Feil from Jumeirah, who is now a familiar face in Switzerland, also briefed the guests in a short presentation. She particularly emphasized the expansion of the hotel chain. Jumeirah has undergone a rebranding, not least because of the planned expansion. Although Jumeirah now has 26 hotels, the number is expected to double by 2030. An ambitious goal, but the next new opening is already imminent: the Marsa al Arab in Dubai. And a Jumeirah is also being built in Switzerland: Le Richemont in Geneva has been taken over by the hotel group, although we will have to wait a little longer for the new opening.
Finally we head towards Herrenacker to the big concert stage, past the talent stage and numerous street food stands. Last night there were two highlights, first with the Swiss band Krokus, then at 9:30 pm the moment came: Status Quo entered the stage and warmed up the 7,000 spectators for the next hour and a half! This Friday night the internationally renowned band Placebo will also be on stage. Andiamo Tours will be there again.
