Noble sheet metal in Bavaria

RM Sotheby’s, one of the leading auction houses specializing in the auction of collector cars in Canada, will auction classic cars, sports cars and exotic vehicles for the first time on July 27 in Tegernsee in Bavaria. In addition to the sale held regularly in November, the event will become an integral part of the Sotheby’s calendar going forward. The occasion is Germany’s first Concours at Gut Kaltenbrunn in Gmund from July 22 to 27, which will bring to Bavaria around 200 classics and icons of automotive history.

Undoubtedly one of the stars of the auction is the legendary Porsche 550 Spyder by Wendler from 1955, one of only 90 examples of the ultralight racing car built. Its estimated value ranges between 3.5 and 4.2 million euros. Also not to be underestimated is a 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moos. The car on offer at Tegernsee has only 45km on the odometer and is presented as new. The SLR 722 commemorates the victory of British racing legend Stirling Moss and his co-driver Dennis Jenkinson in 1955 Italian Mille Miglia long distance classic. Estimated value: €3.2 million to €3.8 million In total, RM Sotheby’s is looking to collect between €27 million and €34 million for the vehicles in just three hours on Saturday afternoon – if all bids find a successful bidder .
