Cnam is recruiting 430 IT specialists in Paris and regions – Le Monde Informatique


By 2027, the National Health Insurance Fund will hire more than 400 information systems specialists by 2027, including 200 this year, who will work on the development of digital services and applications or on regulatory missions, security and openness of health data. Faced with the strong development of digital health, the health insurance company will hire 430 information systems specialists by 2027, including 200 in 2024. The hired people will work on various projects to meet the needs of the organization’s 65 million policyholders: new services, application development, combating cyber fraud, regulation, security, opening health data and many more. Job roles range from application manager to project director, including technical expert, IS architect, infrastructure engineer, developer and even data scientist. Located in Ile-de-France and in the regions, the job opportunities concern about fifteen locations throughout the territory, both at the Cnam headquarters in Paris and in other French cities such as Angers, Lyon, Valenciennes or Quimper. Until 2027, the teams will continue the IS renovation work at both the technological and functional levels. In this last area, the necessary adjustments will be made to integrate changes in regulations and agreements concluded with health professions, the establishment of additional services or even the introduction of management and control systems into the service processing chain. More specifically, IT professionals who join the health insurance may be asked to work on the construction of projects related to the Vitale card application or digital prescriptions, for example the dematerialization of health data using My health space.

Relatively low turnover in the IT department

Other areas of intervention include cyber security to protect sensitive data, big data and artificial intelligence, regulation and opening up of health information, but also the fight against digital fraud. “This is the first time we’ve been recruiting so heavily for our IT, creating jobs and talent chasing us. In 2023, we have met our goals and have a turnover of only 10%,” underlined Bintou Boïté, deputy director of information systems at Cpam, in a press release.

With a current workforce of 1,100 computer scientists, the institution highlights the benefits of the diversity of its projects with evolving careers and possible bridges to attract candidates.
